= Total dividend amounts(excluding any special dividends) from all portfolio members over past 1 year / Total portfolio value at present market prices x 100%
Approximately 15% With the strategy of long term holding, I usually buy stocks instead of selling or switching. I normally hold less cash than others. At the moment, I hold cash in high proportion relatively. I am still cautious about the market.
I have no idea about the market, or the market trend. I have no 2800.HK nor 700.HK ... now.
I just focus on what I am holding and always try to modify my portfolio by doing "stocks switching" and buying more stocks by dividends received.
I hold so little cash (In %, I mean.) because I have confidence on what I am holding, ... and in recent years, no matter at what HS Index level, I focus on how to maximise the total annual dividends income expected in coming 1 year.
Besides "stocks switching", normally I only use dividends received to buy more stocks, and that's quite significant now.
I see China policies encourage industries, not entertainment.
You are a kind gentleman. I wish you will be more successful! And good health & family life!
The strategy China implements is to strengthen the industrial capability, especially technological industries. To some extent, you think they have gone in the right path.
Yes, really in small quantity. I am curious that the revenue and profit are not consistent. Perhaps, the provision for bad debt was decreased. I have not read the report.
I bought some extra shares of it recently too. I will buy some more when it drops a lot more. Of course, I have taken some risk that is still under control.
Be careful Value Sir, ... it always happens that same sector stocks are usually with same pattern share price trend so that you may got more losses even you have diversified real estate portfolio.
I wish funds in HK Stock Market can gradually switch to those stocks "always making profits + low PE + low PB + with healthy Balance Sheet + high dividend yield".^^
In recent 2~3 years, I always rebalance my portfolio by "stocks switching". This strategy significantly increases my "total expected annual dividends income", while the total portfolio value has been increased as well, though just in low % in every year as average ... as our HK Stock Market was so weak over past 2~3 years.
I hope you will be more successful. I seldom sell and switch my portfolio. However, when I implement the strategy with just a small portion of portfolio, I usually grip the right moment.
Orginally, I would like to buy a little when HSI dropped by 500pts. Basically I buy a little regularly on a weekly basis, especially during weak time. So, It is not good for reference. I have a lot to invest due to continuing cash flow.
They are basically different. Of course, investing in both companies involve some of the risks. But, if you do not have much exposure to SHK, It is really reasonable price to start with.
If 001.HK/016.HK do not increase the dividend payout % (= Annual dividend/net profit x 100%), their share prices in coming 2 years may still be disappointing to shareholders.
I feel uncertain about the prospect of HK's future. SHK depends on it quite a lot. But, at this moment it is not the appropriate time to switch assets, especially US market. I can only keep the portfolio relatively stable and leave some money for the future.
I didn't expect the company raised money by placing. At this moment, I don't have intention of investing much more. I still hold the shares in an appropriate amount. I am still investing money steadily and gradually, especially Tracker funds.
Its criteria of choosing Blue Chips results in adding those with "sky high P/E + sky high PB" stocks into its constituents. In past few years, many of them had been proved rubbish!
I admit that you are correct in some way. I agree it is not flawless. I have criticized 2800 from the aspect of fundermentals. 2800 accounts for 10% of my stock portfolio.
It really is. I bought some this moring. I think I won't buy more temporarily to reduce the risk of exposure. It looks like the company is going to be go bankrupt.
Yesterday bought in, today incurs big loss(-13%) ... so sad! **
Besides 778.HK(a REIT), I only has this 5,000 shares 813.HK and no other real estate stock. From now on, I will not add money on any real estate stock!
I am satisfied at the moment. Of course, holding HK stock did not perform so well. Around one year ago, I sold some stocks to reduce some risk, including 83,813,868,1830,1368,etc. Now, I still have some flexibility to invest in the worse situation.
I sold almost all 1 year ago. Now, I almost buy back all. I don't intend to buy extra. Even though I have been satisfied with the performance since then.
I understand what you concern about the tech companies. I had some suggestions on the topic of HSI composition before. But, I need some influential tech companies to protect the portfolio. They are changing economic structure in reality.
Some companies can cause destruction to traditional companies. Note: not all I need to prepare for it strategically in advance over a long period of time.
In fact, the company did quite well in the past. From the view of dividend distribution, annual results, time of share placing, I need some time to review behind the picture.
I have said that I only had a small percentage of them. Now, I am investing in them gradually, especially the two leading companies. I intend to increase the weighting to over 5% in this difficult period.
Good morning 😃
回覆刪除你好。
刪除我仍有不少子彈可用。
美股在高位,加上中美對抗是我較關心的課題。現仍在等待事情釀醖變化。
Value Sir,
回覆刪除Good morning!^^
Have you calculate your "overall weighted average dividend yield" of your "Stock Portfolio"?
Not yet.
刪除But you may have known about my portfolio roughly.
Property and banking stocks have satisfing and rather stable dividend yeild.
刪除
It's easy to calculate.^^
刪除Overall weighted average dividend yield
= Total dividend amounts(excluding any special dividends) from all portfolio members over past 1 year /
Total portfolio value at present market prices x 100%
Thanks for your guildline.
刪除It always remind me to consider "stocks switching" when opportunities approached.^^
刪除At the moment, I am still prudent to invest until the situation changes dramatically.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除How much approx. percentage(%) is your available cash(for investment) out of your total portfolio value?
Mine is <2%.^^
Approximately 15%
刪除With the strategy of long term holding, I usually buy stocks instead of selling or switching.
I normally hold less cash than others.
At the moment, I hold cash in high proportion relatively. I am still cautious about the market.
You hold a little cash. I bet you are very optimistic about the market.
刪除I would buy some extra Tencent when the opportunity arises. I am still waiting the right moment.
刪除I am holding only 1% of it in my portfolio.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除I have no idea about the market, or the market trend. I have no 2800.HK nor 700.HK ... now.
I just focus on what I am holding and always try to modify my portfolio by doing "stocks switching" and buying more stocks by dividends received.

I see China policies encourage industries, not entertainment.
You are a kind gentleman. I wish you will be more successful! And good health & family life!
Let us be smart!^^
P.S. Love China Love HongKong!^^
刪除The strategy China implements is to strengthen the industrial capability, especially technological industries.
刪除To some extent, you think they have gone in the right path.
If just using one word to describe the recent HK stock market, I will say "Disappointing!"
刪除I continue investing, no matter the atmosphere is bad.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除Good afternoon.^^
I remember you had once bought 900.HK. I don't know whether you are still holding it or not.
It just announced its interim results+dividends.
Yes, really in small quantity.
刪除I am curious that the revenue and profit are not consistent. Perhaps, the provision for bad debt was decreased. I have not read the report.
They can maintain the level of dividend, which is satisfing.
刪除At this moment, they performed better than I expected.
刪除Value Sir,
回覆刪除I only tell you, ...
I've just bought 6,000 shares 813.HK @HK$8.87 this morning.
I hope I will have Good Luck!^^
I also wish you always have Good Luck!^^
刪除I bought some extra shares of it recently too. I will buy some more when it drops a lot more. Of course, I have taken some risk that is still under control.
刪除I need to find out its financial position and the projects based in Hong Kong.
刪除I have a diversified property portfolio.
Be careful Value Sir, ... it always happens that same sector stocks are usually with same pattern share price trend so that you may got more losses even you have diversified real estate portfolio.
刪除Anyway, I wish you will be more successful.^^
Good News:~
刪除Yesterday 813.HK's Mr. Hui had bought 1,000,000 shares @HK$8.96!. Though it was not too much, yet it reinforce our holding power of 813.HK.^^
I am waiting for this moment.
刪除It takes time for the sector to pass through the difficult situation. It is over 2 years possibly.
Do you mean 2019~2021 or 2021~2023 ?
刪除From now
刪除I hope it is one of the survivors.
刪除Why 2 years, not 2 months or 2 weeks?
刪除It is only estimated from the level of the circumstance and adjustment.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除Be careful of all those China Big Banks now!
It seems they should be suffered from the recent collapse of China Real Estate Market.
I only have a small amount of investment in Chinese property or banking sectors relatively.
刪除Value Sir, Totally how much % ?
刪除(It's always too difficult to decide what is the optimal distribution in our investment portfolio.)
P.S. I only have 6,000 shares 813.HK now (*_*) and none of China Banks.
刪除Chinese banking plus property is less than 10 % approximately.
刪除Quite OKay, yet this year HK Stock Market is overall very disappointing!
刪除I wish funds in HK Stock Market can gradually switch to those stocks "always making profits + low PE + low PB + with healthy Balance Sheet + high dividend yield".^^
刪除I hope it is worth waiting.
刪除I hope to have a balanced portfolio with growth and healthy dividend distribution.
刪除
In recent 2~3 years, I always rebalance my portfolio by "stocks switching". This strategy significantly increases my "total expected annual dividends income", while the total portfolio value has been increased as well, though just in low % in every year as average ... as our HK Stock Market was so weak over past 2~3 years.
刪除I hope you will be more successful.
刪除I seldom sell and switch my portfolio. However, when I implement the strategy with just a small portion of portfolio, I usually grip the right moment.
Value Sir,
刪除Have you bought any stock on today or yesterday ?
(I will take this into account at tomorrow.^^)
Orginally, I would like to buy a little when HSI dropped by 500pts. Basically I buy a little regularly on a weekly basis, especially during weak time.
刪除So, It is not good for reference. I have a lot to invest due to continuing cash flow.
Value Sir,
刪除At present market prices, 001.HK and 016.HK ... which one has more potential ?
They are basically different.
刪除Of course, investing in both companies involve some of the risks. But, if you do not have much exposure to SHK, It is really reasonable price to start with.
I have a lot of it. I haven't buy extra shares recently.
刪除001.HK has low valuation as well.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除I am at present only have 1,000 shares 001.HK and none of 016.HK.
Without doubt they are too disappointing to their shareholders over past 2 years.
*_*
If 001.HK/016.HK do not increase the dividend payout % (= Annual dividend/net profit x 100%), their share prices in coming 2 years may still be disappointing to shareholders.
刪除I feel uncertain about the prospect of HK's future. SHK depends on it quite a lot.
刪除But, at this moment it is not the appropriate time to switch assets, especially US market.
I can only keep the portfolio relatively stable and leave some money for the future.
Value Sir,
刪除How come 813.HK allots shares at HK$8.14!
This is even lower than its 52-weeks lowest, i.e.HK$8.66!
I didn't expect the company raised money by placing.
刪除At this moment, I don't have intention of investing much more. I still hold the shares in an appropriate amount.
I am still investing money steadily and gradually, especially Tracker funds.
I dislike 2800.HK.
刪除It always changes partners.
Its criteria of choosing Blue Chips results in adding those with "sky high P/E + sky high PB" stocks into its constituents. In past few years, many of them had been proved rubbish!
I admit that you are correct in some way.
刪除I agree it is not flawless.
I have criticized 2800 from the aspect of fundermentals.
2800 accounts for 10% of my stock portfolio.
In other words, tech companies in my tracker funds accounts for 3% of the portfolio.
刪除I think it is almost enough until the fundermentals of tech companies improve.
刪除It takes time throughout the improvement process.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除Just my straight talks:~
2800.HK's is far from flawless/perfect!
I also have not invest in those nil dividend tech cos. cause I place "receiving dividend incomes" as the primal criterion.
813.HK is falling down though it had high dividend yield records, ... so sad to many long run investors.
刪除It really is.
刪除I bought some this moring. I think I won't buy more temporarily to reduce the risk of exposure.
It looks like the company is going to be go bankrupt.
Value Sir,
刪除If 813.HK goes bankrupt, do you think there would be any residue value to shareholders?
If there would be, how much do you think?
Thanks you first.
I am not sure when the situation happens.
刪除It depends on the real fiancial situation.
But, I think its assests can be cashed in when needed.
Especially in HK.
刪除Okay ... I buy 5,000 share now. Thanks you a lot!^^
刪除Now HK$7.05 ... Feeling very terrible!
刪除Now see 1918.HK is also falling down ... very terrible!
刪除Feeling calm
刪除Balanced portfolio
Every sector has a winner.
"Every sector has a winner"?
刪除Value Sir, Please ... Please advise me who will be the winner/winners among all China Property Developers Companies ?
I hope 813 is one of them.
刪除Of course, the companies in HSI are likely to be
Seems the hope is far far away ... *_*
刪除I think most of them(>70%) will not declare any dividend in coming 1~2 years.
作者已經移除這則留言。
刪除I hope it can be avoided.
刪除813 is around 1% of the portfolio.
A very poor experience:~
刪除Yesterday bought in, today incurs big loss(-13%) ... so sad! **
Besides 778.HK(a REIT), I only has this 5,000 shares 813.HK and no other real estate stock. From now on, I will not add money on any real estate stock!
Value Sir,
刪除I know your portfolio is a big one.
1. But as a whole, how much % of real estate stocks(including HK & China stocks) do you have now ?
2. Have you estimate how much % you have lossed on them, even deducting all cash dividends received from them, for this 2021? (I mean an estimation.)
P.S. 2021 is a disaster to most HK long run investors.
刪除High risk High gain
刪除I haven't gave up the company. I hope the situation will improve.
At this moment, I need to keep observing the situation.
I hold a lot of SHK mainly.
刪除I am satisfied at the moment.
刪除Of course, holding HK stock did not perform so well.
Around one year ago, I sold some stocks to reduce some risk, including 83,813,868,1830,1368,etc.
Now, I still have some flexibility to invest in the worse situation.
I started investing the company 10 years ago.
刪除Investors cannot avoid bad moments. It could be time to double your wealth. But no one can confirm that.
刪除I still have a considerable amount of money to operate or deal with the situation.
刪除In any situation, wishing you Good Luck! ^^
刪除I find out that on 1Sep2011, i.e.10 years ago, 813.HK was closed at HK$5.94 ... same as the lowest right now!
刪除This is also the 10 years lowest!^^
Only approximately, probably more than 10 years
刪除But, I seldom sell any of them except for the time one year ago.
The company is relatively stable in terms of the financial result and stock price.
刪除I remember you had sold just a little.
刪除And was that you had used the money to buy some other stocks or 2800.HK?
I sold almost all 1 year ago.
刪除Now, I almost buy back all.
I don't intend to buy extra. Even though I have been satisfied with the performance since then.
Mainly, I spent money buying 2800 to increase some exposure to tech companies.
刪除Value Sir,
刪除Don't buy nil dividend stocks for long run investment(>5 years).
813.HK is finding its new bottom. If I bought it over past 1 year and is still holding it now, I think I would be in a panic.
I predict it will have no dividend in coming 1~2 years.
Value Sir, 2800.HK includes many rubbish stocks, and I'm sure it will add even more in future. Be careful!
刪除Also, it had already dropped around 3630 points right now(3:15p.m.) in this year! Be be careful!
Oh my goodness!
刪除I sold the 5,000 shares 813.HK @HK$5.98 before 3:00p.m. & switched the money to buy 10,000 shares 728.HK @HK$2.52 and keep cash of around HK$4,400.
813.HK is really terrible! **
In respect of dividend, I would be more optimistic than you.
刪除I understand what you concern about the tech companies.
刪除I had some suggestions on the topic of HSI composition before.
But, I need some influential tech companies to protect the portfolio. They are changing economic structure in reality.
Tech cos change the world/world economy do not mean that they can make profits or willing to pay dividends.
刪除I see many Bubbles are now in global stock markets.
Some companies can cause destruction to traditional companies. Note: not all
刪除I need to prepare for it strategically in advance over a long period of time.
In fact, the company did quite well in the past.
回覆刪除From the view of dividend distribution, annual results, time of share placing, I need some time to review behind the picture.
Value Sir,
刪除Thank you for your kindness to spend so much time to communicate with me in this afternoon.^^
In any situation, wishing you Good Luck!^^
Bye today.
Value Sir,
回覆刪除Good morning.
Any ideas/strategies today?
Only buy a little bit of 2800.
刪除Slowly collect it over a long period of time.
刪除I can continue that for more than 1 year.
刪除That will be boring for many investors.
刪除Good luck!^^
刪除But, I got used to be doing that.
回覆刪除Good luck!^^
刪除Merry Christmas !!! ^^
回覆刪除Wish You Merry Christmas!
刪除Value Sir,
回覆刪除Kung Hei Fat Choi!^^
May all your wishes come true!^^
Thanks.
刪除Happy New year!
I keep collecting shares all the times.
Value Sir, 016.HK had announced its interim results + dividend. I have no comment.
刪除Good Night & Luck!^^
I am buying stocks as usual.
刪除16.HK might be my next target.
The financial results of 16.HK is acceptable.
The most difficulty for its buy&hold shareholders is to accept its downward share price trend.
刪除Anyway, Good Luck!^^
The cause is quite obvious. Covid is affecting economy seriously. I remain confident for the future. I have no other choice though.
刪除I am still investing with some money.
Again,... no comment, but Good Luck!^^
刪除Attention please ~
回覆刪除An collapsed Hang Seng Index!
I am still putting money in the market.
刪除I still have some money to spend.
I have no comment about your strategy but Good Luck!^^
刪除Value Sir, Morning!^^
回覆刪除Since Hang Seng Index includes so may rubbish stocks, it itself is simply a rubish bin!
... HongKong is: sad!**
I have said we should be aware of risk when putting non-profitable tech companies. We should reduce their weight in HSI.
回覆刪除I have said that I only had a small percentage of them. Now, I am investing in them gradually, especially the two leading companies. I intend to increase the weighting to over 5% in this difficult period.
刪除Of course, I am still investing some value stocks as well for my next 10-year future.
刪除I still have enough money to achieve this goal.
